Bonjour
Having a great time since finding 'Shooters Saloon', my accomadation for the next few nights. I shared a 4 man dorm with one other gent- a french fella named Paul. When I first met Paul I thought he said his name was 'Bull', I found it too ironic that the Saloon's slogan was 'no bull'-yet I refrained from introducing him... just incase.
The Saloon hosted a 21st party on friday, this meant in little sleep for moi; the loud music downstairs made it almost impossible to doze off. The situation worsened when we were joined by a third room mate at around 5:30am (nice guy, mumbled alot).
Paul and I woke up around 8:30 as he had agreed to come to watch the hockey with me, I wasnt sure If he knew what he had gotten himself in for but I appreciated the company. We took the bus from the city centre and made our way to The Lloyd Elsmore Hockey Stadium...well kind of. We got lost and was eventually offered a lift to the Stadium by a guy we asked for directions. Besides asking me if I was Bristol, he was a really nice guy! We arrived in plenty of time and saw a great match of hockey. We made our way back saloon and grabbed something to eat, Saturday was host to a couple of stag dos and it made for an intresting night! Met alot of really nice people, topped off by meeting someone from Overton! I had travelled to the other side of world to meet a guy who lived a couple of miles down the road from me in England!
Slept better last night, me and Paul are going to the cinema this afternoon and I'll be back at the Saloon tonight for a quiet one (I hope)
Not long now till I meet up with Hannah- Cant Wait!!!
Regards
