I just returned from traveling to my 5th continent and let me tell you it was one of the best weeks of my life!!! We left Changmai to fly to Krabi, it was about a two and a half hour flight. Once we arrived in Krabi our hosts greeted us with a welcome sign and they placed lays around our necks. We were driven to the port where we boarded the long tail boats that took us to the island of Krabi. It was beautiful!!! Once we arrived at the island people from the resort we were staying at welcomed us with drinks. We stayed in little villas throughout the island. We walked around and had dinner. The 2014 International Rock and Fire Competition was taking place so after dinner we watched the fire competitors perform on the beach. We woke up early the next day to explore the island. After breakfast we rented kayaks and kayaked to the caves where we jumped out and swam into the caves. Then we came back on land and decided to go look for the monkeys. We didn't find the monkeys that day but on the path we saw a sign the said "viewpoint" so of course we had to see where it led. The sign was pointing up the cliff, there was a rope for us to use to pull ourselves up, and basically it was outdoor rock-climbing without being connected to anything. It was a far climb up (and back down again) but totally worth the view once we finally reached the top! It was so hot I have seriously never sweat so much in my life so afterwards we jumped in the ocean! Later Monday night we had a welcome dinner hosted by the resort, they had decorated the restaurant very nicely for us, they put chair covers on with bows and we had a traditional Thai meal.
On Thursday we had breakfast in the morning then Christian and Rob the TEAN leaders took some of us to look for monkeys we saw so many just on our walking path we then went to another beautiful beach. Around 12:30 we departed Krabi on speedboats, we spent the afternoon snorkelling and visiting different Islands. We stopped at the Island of Phi Phi where we dropped our bags off in the rooms. This resort was beautiful the pool overlooked the ocean. Then we boarded the boats again and went to a cove where we jumped off the boats and swam around at the last island we visited we stayed for the sunset here is where the movie "The Beach" was filmed. The Island of Phi Phi was one of the craziest places I have ever been, we had dinner as a group then went our own ways at night. We went to the beach where all the different places had different activities with fire: there was a limbo game where the bar was on fire, a ring of fire that people could jump through and a jump rope that was on fire, along with all of those activities they had random fire throwers everywhere. A lot of my friends jumped through the ring of fire and right before I was going to go one girl tripped and hit her leg on the fire so I thought maybe it wasn't a good idea for me to go, instead I took her back to clean her leg. She was okay!
We left the Phi Phi on Friday morning and headed for the island of Phuket. We stopped along the way again to go snorkelling and on another island to have lunch. Once we arrived at Phuket we were transferred from the boat dock to the hotel via trucks. We were given our room assignments and had the rest of the afternoon free. I went with a couple other people to the markets to do some last minute shopping but it was so hot out that we went back to the pool for a swim. Later at night we had our last group dinner, we went to Patong (just a different part of the city) to a restaurant where we sat outside and had live music. After dinner we walked around, I had the fish pedicure where I put my feet in the fish tank and they ate the dead skin off - it was really strange. On Saturday morning Anissa left for the airport at 6:30 AM and made it back to Perth around 11:00 PM.
My ankle is doing better I went to the doctor and he gave me some antibiotic cream.
Miss you all

patricia Clarke Wow Great Pic s !!!!!!!!
Sister Diana Unbelievable! You should write an adventure book about all of your experiences. Continue to be safe and enjoy your time. How about school? I continue to keep you in my prayers. Blessings!
Dad EB, you should expand your blog and write a book when you return. I wrote this before reading Sister Diana's blog input...so there's 2. The biggest "Boo Boo" I heard was you had TWO papers due this week. It's nice you are squeezing a little education with your "other education".
Ann Potter Your writing is so descriptive, I feel like I am there with you! Sounds amazing! I say you stick with Rosalina's for your pedicures :)
