On Friday I finished my very last class of the semester - I cannot believe how fast my time here has gone by. I left on Friday night for the airport, I have gotten the bus route down to a T now. I took the 11:55 flight to Sydney I then transferred terminals and caught my flight to the South Island of New Zealand. I came by myself, some of the girls in my dorm are going to Bali for the study week but they will just stay at a resort there -- I wanted more of an adventure and New Zealand is known as one of the most adventurous places in the world so I figured it was perfect! The second I stepped foot outside I knew I didn't pack the proper clothes -- it is so cold and they are expecting snow this week (okay I know I should be used to this type of weather but after living in almost perfect weather conditions for the past four months it was kind of a slap in the face). The people I have interacted with so far have all been so friendly and helpful, they have gone out of their way to welcome me to their beautiful country. I am staying at a hostel for the night then meeting up with my tour group tomorrow!
Shoutout to Katherine for graduating from Beaumont this Sunday!!! -- what will Beaumont do next year with only one Clarke sister roaming the halls???
And congrats to Shannon for being elected class president for her junior year!!!
Miss everyone back home!

Ann Love that you passed up the resort-style trip for adventure! You are so fun! Have a great time in NZ! Where are you headed for the last month?
Dad Was it your last class, your first class or your ONLY class? . Nice you squeezed it in before your next "adventure". Now you can say there was at least one class in the "study" abroad curriculum. You know I am just teasing, EB. Enjoy NZ.
We. Carol Wow. You write best blogs. Did you get some warm clothes? Want to hear about NZ. Had frosh from NZ in my 1st year seminar in fall. She was a totally cool gal. Have fun.
Sister Diana Wow, wonders never cease! You truly have the spirit of adventure. I know that you have indeed attended some classes. Hopefully, you will do well in whatever you have left for your academic part of this experience. I'll be anxious to get together with you when you return to the states. In the meantime, take care and know you are in my prayers. Blessings! PS - I hope you got some warm clothes.
Sue Barnett Hello Elizabeth! Yes Graduation was so great. I can't tell you how much I will miss Katherine. My daughter is heading to Melbourne on June 21, just as you leave the country right? It sounds like such an amazing place. Hope to find out in July!
