I have lost a draft message!! - never mind, it was in concise as ever and I will still have many stories to tell when I get home! Since arriving in Hanoi we took a bus and boat to cat ba island then have a two day cruise in ha long bay tomorrow....disappointedly it has dropped from 35 degrees to 15 degrees cooler here in the north (and overcast....., bearing on cold) but it's acclimatising us for our return nicely...fingers tightly crossed for some sun in ha long...

Not so endearing...they are hellbent on outrageously overcharging you here (most evident between hoi an to hanoi....) Life would be so much easier if there were price tags - haggling and negotiating the price is tiring! Travel reviews warn you that the route between Hoi An - Hanoi - to Halong bay are well known for hotel hustles and trans...
