offtheroadagain Hello, I now know what a drip is - just seen it on a coffee menu as A vietnamese drip!!! It's simply a percolator coffee thing that sits on the top of your cup while you wait about 10 mins for your coffee to drip through! It's still only 20 degrees here and overcast.....we've already lost any tan we got in the south but hey ho.... xxxxxxx

offtheroadagain Hi Bella, not long till home now......North Vietnam is so much colder than the south....I can now say I miss sweating all day long, but it was always too hot to sunbathe..... Not really looking forward to the brrrrrrrr cold on hayling but it won't be long, so will do my best to enjoy here!!!!!! Lots of love and hope all is well with you guys!!!! xxxxxxx

Nina Hey Sasha, they say it seems like the highway code here has been created by Evel Knievel....it really is too crazy to describe! God damn those motor bikes/mopeds/cyclos/taxi's/push bikes! Annoyingly, I still don't know what a 'drip' is, but will do my best to find out....I can say that nearly every black or white coffee we've had here and Cambodia tastes like hot sweet chocolatey coffee. Arrived in Hanoi at 4.30am this morning...Our train journey was uncomfortable as ever - amazing scenery and good food throughout the journey though. I just fitted into my top bunk on the train (legs stretched out)...not sure how Anthony managed to stay inside his! We did a lot of mingling with the locals and Anthony met a 3/4 year old little Vietnamese fighter whom despite his mum's effots to stop him, had the best fun kicking Anthony in the shins. He was very cute though - children are the same all over the world...we've really struggling to upload photo's via Ant's iphone. We will persevere, but will definitely add more once we can get them onto a computer...Thank you Mum & Nana for your messages...will get busy with a blog again a.s.a.p....got loads of notes to make about Hoi An before I forget.....
