Today we knew we would be leaving Georgetown and heading overnight to Melaka. With hours to spare we planned a lazy morning lounging around, eating another free breakfast and then lounging around some more.
We did a little shopping, and more sightseeing.
We ate lunch at the new world food court. A modern food centre that provided all styles of Malaysian cuisines.
We had duck in plum sauce with rice and hoiken mee, a dark noodle dish. The duck was superb!
We did a lot of walking this afternoon and an equal amount of shopping. We bought new watches each and hunted around several awesome antique stores. If only space in the rucksack and money wasn't an issue!
Another visit to the moustache house passed a few hours lounging with tea, cake, and magazines.
The Indian food here is soo good that we couldn't resist another trip to little India for another banana leaf. This being the best one, a huge banana leaf with an assortment of tasty curries along with tandoori chicken! Possibly the best curry ever!
With time to kill we sat in yet another cafe as the darkness fell. Tea and FaceTime occupied us until it was 10pm and time to head for the bus.
Our bed for the night was ok, a more than standard coach seat with a good recline. The air conditioning was blasting all night and the bus was soon freezing. We huddled together and fell asleep.
