An amazing nights sleep, especially after our two nights in a dorm in Singapore.
It's was a late start after a good lie in. We made the most of our room as we knew we would be moving on if we found a cheeper place to stay for the rest of the week.
We left for breakfast, and found it on the side of the street not far from our hotel. A Chinese food court served us two bowls of beef noodle soup, one tea, and one kopi (amazing local coffee!).
It was sunny and hot! In no mood to explore and with all the time in the world we headed back to the hotel, sat in bed with the air con blasting, and watched a movie.
Later in the afternoon we scrubbed up and went for a stroll around Chinatown.
It was hot and sticky. The walk through the covered market was even hotter with no fresh air flowing. The sky turned grey as we sat in a Indian restaurant for a snack and a drink. Eating garlic naan and curry the heavens opened and it pored it down! There seemed to be no stopping, so we ran across the road and into the metro station, we took the metro line to a mall and took cover for the rest of the afternoon.
The rain had stopped and after a few hours of looking at things we couldn't afford we headed back in the direction of Chinatown, this time by foot.
On our way back we stumbled across the 2013 Malaysian street food festival..it would be rude not to!
We ate BBQ chicken wings, BBQ pork and rice, and BBQ chicken and rice!
Back into china town and back through the market. With the drop in temperature the market was much more manageable. We stocked up on mementoes, cheap clothes, shoes, and a belt. Bags full, we dragged our tired selves back to the hotel, and to bed.
