The next day we drove onwards to High Rolls, to Tina's parents' house. Like people often say when they meet my mother (who has her eccentricities and craziness) I can see where Tina comes from when I see her parents, Wiggy and Pete. These two are awesomely hilarious, funny, and yes, they have their eccentricities and crazy ideas (just ask them about the how their dog Lucy died and the suspicious events surrounding her death/burial).

They live in a beautiful house in the mountains and of course, are nothing but welcoming, loving and generous. Staying here has been the perfect vacation from the sleep deprivation which occurred when I was in Edmonton. They cook delicious food (Wiggy taught me how to make chiles rellenos my first night here) and have all the alcohol we could ever dream of: Tina and I have been in paradise.

This past Saturday they had a HUGE party at the house for Tina and me: turkey, beef and pork cooked on the horno outside, corn, potato salad and so much other food.......mojitos (which Tina and I were preparing with skill), margaritas, beer, and pretty much any alcohol you could think of......great company, fun kids running around everywhere....and generally just good fun had by all. And to top it all off a nice little dip in the hot tub at the end of the night.
