We intended to go a short distance across the open water today but after chatting with a German neighbour decided to revises our destination to Aeroskobing on the island of Aero. A bouncy trip across and then a careful passage around a curly route ended in this delightful village on the north coast of the lovely island.
Our passage was among small islands, sandy spits, deserted pieces of the archipelago surrounded by shallow water demanding careful attention. We had deep black clouds on one side and sun blinding us on the other, the wind blew hard and we escaped with onkly a few light showers.
A quick explore this afternoon revealed cobbled streets and old brightly painted wooden framed properties in this quiet village. We are in the old commercial harbour because it is right on the edge of the community, the marina being a few hundred yards away.
A bus tour tomorrow beckons - all the buses are free on this island!
