Hi everyone, This is just a quick update to say I\'ve made it to India after a lovely last few days in Sri Lanka. Thank you Chamika sooo much for your hospitality while I was with you in Sri Lanka-it made the experience all the more pleasant and it was so great spending time with you, Tharaka and your family after all these years of writing to one another!! :-) I flew to Chennai (also known as Madras) yesterday from Colombo. I arrived mid morning and spent the res tof the day just relaxing at my hotel as I knew I had a long journey today by bus to get to Bangalore (it was around 8 hours) and an even longer one tomorrow evening to ge to Goa (around 14 hours!). My first volunteer camp starts on Monday in Anjuna in North Goa (west coast of India) where we will be helping redecorate a school (painting etc) while the children are on holiday. I\'m really looking forward to it. I\'m in Bangalore tonight staying with my friend Rajula who I met on the SCM women\'s conference in Bangalore in 1999. It is so good to see her again :-) Right its getting late so I\'m going to sign off. If I don\'t get to update this again before next weekend have a wonderful Christmas everyone (and I hope the weather improves for those of you in NZ!) Love, Sonia
