So after rolling in at around 3am and the alarm going off at 6am it was a bright and early start although I can't say I was feeling very fresh! Off we went to meet the coach to take us to Niagara falls!! I must admit it I was actually looking forward to the 8 hour coach ride to Buffalo as I could get some well earned sleep!! We went from New York, through New Jersey and onto Pennsylvania where we stopped at Glen Watkins National Park where we walked through a canyon that had been created over thousands of years from two small streams, it was amazing to see what a little water can do over time! There was even a miniature falls that we could walk under. After our little hike we carried on until we reached the Canadian border. It took a while to get through customs and get our passports stamped but we finally made it into Canada! Our first stop was to go straight to the falls. It was not really what I expected! For some reason I expected it to be in the middle of nowhere in the middle of a national park or something! I couldn't have been more wrong! It was in the middle of a town, which, funnily enough is called Niagra Falls!! It had a whole strip full of museums, restaurants, shops, games, a Ferris wheel and even 2 casinos!! Once we has checked into our hotel we headed back down the strip to see the falls at night. Once it gets dark they illuminate the falls like a rainbow. It is beautiful, however a little man made but if they didn't do that you wouldn't be able to see it at all!! As you walk along the side, it's just like it's raining where the mist rises up and follows the wind direction. So after a second shower we explored the rest of the strip and had dinner in a traditional American (or should I say Canadian!) diner, where of course I had the ultimate. Canadian burger!! After a very long day we went to bed to prepare for another early start the next day...
