Today we got a taste of typical London weather - rain and gloom all day with only short bursts of sunlight here and there. Not a good call leaving the umbrella at home that morning! We started our day in Covent Garden wandering aimlessly through the cobblestone streets and gorgeous alleyways checking out all the cute little shops along the way. Day 2 we had our first experience on the tube and were pleasantly surprised - it's so easy to find your way around and the trains come every 3 minutes so there's no waiting around! Made our way to Harrods and spent a couple of hours wandering through the maze of extravagant designer everything! From shoes and clothes to pianos and furniture! The food hall was especially impressive - with food from almost every country available, and amazing sweets and pastries! ...

Day 1 was fun-filled indeed! Started with a surprisingly great brekkie at the hotel (bacon,eggs,sausage,beans) and then jumped straight on to an open air bus tour. Spent a bit of time on that checking out the sites and then did a cruise down the River Thames where the views were just beautiful! We're finally here - after many episodes of glee, himym, community and 30rock!! The last leg of our flight was just terrible - so crowded and I was stuck next to a grubby girl with REALLY stinky feet! Oh well - all part of the adventure right?!
