After a quick morning stroll down Las Ramblas for the last time, and a bocadillo and coffee for breakfast - we checked out of Hotel Turin and bid Barcelona Adios.
A 30min aerobus ride to the airport and another Easyjet adventure later - we touched down in Milan Malpensa airport where the Italian D'Souza's were waiting to greet us.
We drove straight to Uncle Tony's house to meet the rest of the faily and settle into the room we'd be staying in. We sat down with Uncle Tony, Aunty Antonia, Vivien, and piccolo Sofia over a cup of tea and mini pastries and biscuits to get reacquainted (or acquainted in my case). Brendan's cousin Vivien then took us to see her place and meet her husband Roberto. They were all so warm and welcoming that I immediately felt at home :)
Later in the evening they took us out for an authentic italian dinner (pizza and fresh handmade pasta!) and then for a long walk to see Lake Arona and the surrounding little shops.
As a side note, we don't have access to wifi for the next week so unfortunately all the photos we're taking will have to be posted in arrears.
