Thursday 24th March After breakfast we were taken in sampans to Evergreen Island to see a small village of farmers & fishermen. On the way we passed several floating fish farms consisting of what looked like galvo clad sheds of 30m by 20m which apparently have netted wooden cages below in which catfish are reared. Tuesday 22nd March After a good night's sleep & breakfast, Jane packed whilst d*** read his new book on the tunnels of Cu Chi. We took a taxi to the Grand Hotel where we caught up with the rest of the passengers & were allocated to "Blue" group of cruise passengers. Sunday 20th March Off to the airport at 4am for the flight to Singapore at 6.40. Quite a pleasant flight with an excellent breakfast, in a full plane. Flew from there to Ho Chi Minh in Vietnam, arriving at about 4pm local time & were met & taken to the hotel, passing the Liberation Palace on the way but feeling pretty tired.
