Left Brockenhurst at 6.15 am in plenty of time to get to Kensington by 9 am, we had no trouble getting to the M25 when we had a little hiccup with the navigator eventually got to about 10 miles out and over an hour to go when we hit the traffic jam, we finally made it by 9.30. Managed to have a quick coffee with Owen who we hadn't seen for about 3 years, it was great catching up with his news we all had to leave by 10 am we only had 30 minutes on the meter for 3 ...

A beautiful sunny day again a perfect day for the Pylewell fete, after a leisurely breakfast we set off to the East End Pub for lunch and arriving in plenty of time for the fete. It is like stepping back in time fetes haven't changed much over the years with the Punch and Judy show, dog show, plant, bric a brac and book stalls. Woke to a very wet morning, very English. It poured down as we were driving to Winchester, the Motorway was as busy as ever with lots of trucks etc. Fortunately the navigator did us proud getting us to the Bogaerde's with no hitches, it was great seeing Gareth & Lucilla again we had a coffee and lots of chatter before heading off to a great pub lunch. We packed up and left in plenty of time to catch the 7.30 am vaporetta to the airport for a 11.30 flight to London, thinking it may take up to an hour to get there but it was only a 20 min ride. Saturday 13th April Walked across to M & S & were underwhelmed with the range. Took a bus up to Oxford St & raided Primark where d*** got a cashmere jumper for £30. Wandered along Oxford St, had lunch in a pub & returned to the flat before taking a bus down to the Embankment & visiting the Tate Gallery.
