Noyelles Travels
Jane packed & we walked across Green Park & along various streets & alleys passing a film crew shooting 1950s vehicles for something. On our way back to the unit we spotted a Guards band returning to the barracks.
We set off for Gatwick at about 1.00pm with plenty of time in hand but at Victoria station the Gatwick Expresses & other trains were all held up as someone had gone under a train in South Croydon. We were told a couple of platform numbers & squeezed into a train just before it left on another route of many stops to Gatwick. Luckily we were in time & booked in for our flight to Tunis. To our amazement the plane had no audio or visual capability & it was like being on Tiger but paying at Qantas rates, very disappointing. In Tunis we were met by the guide & taken in a bus to the hotel for a meal etc. It sounds pretty gruelling as most days the coach leaves at 7am. The hotel was around a huge carefully roped off swimming pool about 75+m in diameter & our room seemed to be about 500m from the entrance. Dinner was a large buffet spread acceptable but not our first choice.
