Noyelles Travels
Thursday 19th November
A slack day at sea.
Friday 20th November
Yet another lazy day at sea, the highlight was being buzzed by a US Coastguard helicopter.
Saturday 21st November
Docked at Port Canaveral at about 7.30 & were off the ship by 8.30. Took a taxi bus to the hotel only to be told it was the wrong one. The receptionist fixed it all up so we stayed & she sold us tickets for the NASA Space centre & ordered a car for us to visit it leaving at 9.30.
The Space centre is huge & it is brilliantly set up to show its exploits, the rockets & the space shuttle etc. We were very impressed with the quality of the presentations & displays & were stunned at its vast extent. It is almost a monument to a bye gone era although they were talking up preparations for a Mars visit in the next decade. Unfortunately it poured with rain & we got a little damp walking between the exhibits. This was the first major rain since we left Perth so we shouldn't complain. The country varies from flat with ditches to even flatter without them but the roads are straight & the traffic flows well. We saw a couple of alligators & many herons & other water birds in the drainage ditches by the roads.
Returned to the hotel exhausted & dined next door.
