Arrived in Honolulu on Oahu Island at about 7am, had breakfast & waited for our US Immigration interviews. These were completed by about 10am with minimal problems, which meant that we could go ashore.
On the quay we found a queue for the shuttle into town which took us to a huge shopping centre where we caught up with our emails etc before buying a ticket for the Hop on hop off bus. They were very infrequent on our route so we had some food & caught it in the afternoon. It took us to Waikiki, very much a Gold Coast model but larger, & then we stayed on to travel out to Pearl Harbour where we found ourselves at a stop on a main highway.
Pearl Harbour was across the road set back some way from the road & proved to be somewhat of a disappointment as we couldn't get to the island where the USS Missouri is moored as we had to have tickets to board it.
