They say Sucre is the most beautiful city in Bolivia, which is probably true; it´s filled with green calm parks and all the housing is white and clean. There´s lots of language schools, so if I ever come back here, for sure I want improve my Spanish skills, since I´ve noticed that whenever you travel in Latin American countries, everything works so much smoother if you speak even just a bit of Spanish. Not to mention all the fun of bargaining ☺ and chit chating with taxi drivers and local people at the markets…yeah, but knowing the language makes the travels also safer.
From Sucre they organize these tours that take you to a nice hike to a small canyon like area, where after maybe half an hour walk and some steep (but easy) climbing you´ll find huge and real dinosaur footprints - this is the world´s largest dinosaur footprint area with about 500 prints from about 300 different dinos! Jurassic park don´t come more real than this, and standing beside the prints, that are so many millions of years old, makes you put things into perspective.
Even if you would think you are not interested in our planet´s history, I recommend this trip anyway, it´s much bigger experience than you think. I hope though the local community can somehow arrange more money to protect these priceless dino prints, now they are there unprotected. Hope the traveller´s won´t be so stupind that they´d start taking small bits of dirt as souvenirs, that´ll ruin them so easily, and it could never be fixed then. so travel sharp and just take cool photos ☺
