Hello everyone. Sorry it's been so long, but I got very lazy on the south island of New Zealand. I had a great time on the south island, having made a great group of friends. I did another skydive, over the Fox Glacier and Mt Cook (the largest mountain in NZ). This one was so amazing and stunning - it's the 2nd most scenic in the world (the first being Mount Everest base camp)! I love them and want to do lots more - I will be waiting a while though as I am starting to run out of money I am soon to be a poor student!
I also did a hike on Franz Josef Glacier, which was good fun. It involved wearing crampons and squeezing in and through very tight spaces! Very good fun. The views were also pretty stunning, the ice appears blue on the glaciers, which is pretty cool!
I was planning to do a 136m bungy jump (the 2nd or 3rd highest in the world), but I managed to hurt my ankle (falling down some steps), so spent my last week in NZ on crutches! This also meant I couldn't do the last stage of my trip, down to the very south and the southern most city in the world. I did still go to Milford Sound, one of the wonders of the world. Unfortuanetly, as we had had such good weather for the last few weeks, it wasn't up to it's best, as there were no waterfalls (the main attraction of Milford Sound). A little dissappointing, but still lovley and the drive there was amazing! I am planning to return to New Zealand for one of their summers, so I can do all the amazing walks, such as the Routeburn Track (a 4 day hike over mountains to Milford Sound) and many more. I am also hoping to find myself a gorgeous and rich New Zealand farmer who I can marry and come and live here!
I am now back in Australia, in Melbourne, with the girls I started with. They are renting a room in a shared house, so it is nice to have somewhere to relax and not be lugging my bag around everyday. I am not really sure what I am doing next. I am going to Adelaide to meet a friend I made in New Zealand. We were planning on going up through the middle, to see Ayers Rock, and up to Darwin (hot weather!), but my ankle is till playing up so I might not be up to this!
I hope everyone is well. Now long till I touch back down in England now..5weeks!
Lots of love and photos to follow shortly. xx
