HELLO! I am currently in Abel Tasman Nation park which is near Nelson on the south Island. We have had a good few days since Wellington. The evening that we arrived in Materton (Where Alice's family live) we had a Thai takeaway before having an early night. All very tired form the prevous night out, we had a lot of goodbyes to say to the others we had been travelling with. The next day was Christmas day, we had an AMAZING christmas lunch, Alices cousin cooked, was so good. He is a chef in Sydney. We explored teh area a bit and had a lovely walk. The farm where we spent Christmas day was in a beautiful location, surrounded by hills and fields. Such fantastic views from the house. Boxing day was spent travelling, we woke up very early to drive to wellington for our ferry across to the south island. Which took about 3 hours, we did get to go into the control tower though, as they knew the captain, amazing views from there too. Once we arrived in Picton on the south island we had to drive for another 3/4 hours to get to the lodge in Marahau, in the national park. I love it here so much, the beaches are gorgeous. Must just mention what I did yesterday. Only a SKY DIVE!!! was terrified before hand but loved every second of it, as soon as i landed wanted to go straight back up to do it again. Unfortuanetly a bit too expensive. When i jumped out though, you could see so much, monutains, beaches, even the north island..
