On the 29th August we spent the day in Washington, D.C. We visited the Whitehouse, gave Obama a quick wave, was a little surprised that he didnt invite us in for a cup of tea, but I guess he has a fairly busy schedule! Last night we stayed in a hotel which had a bed which could have easily held about 4 people...and we were given 5 pillows, bit excessive but I was not going to complain! 24th August 2013. Today Fliss and I left for New York City! After many emotional goodbyes (I think I thought I was crying for England that day!) we boarded the plane.
