So since leaving Sydney Chelsey and I have made our way to Port Macquarie. Our journey to port was a fair bit of fun, we hopped on the train to Hornsby where we met a guy who was travelling the same way with a car. We were a tad apprehensive about this,but after excessive Facebook stalking and a creating an excuse in case we didn't get a good vibe from him, he turned out to be a pretty cool guy and is interested in stopping off at places on the way. We took the tourist route to port, and stopped off at a lake, we had to catch a mini ferry over Mile Lakes. Whilst we were waiting for the ferry we started chatting to two Aussies who lives nr Melbourne, they had put up a backpacker for 5 months, they were really friendly! At this sport we all shared some mangos with our new driving friend! We later stopped in a place called Forster to go for a swim in the ocean :) our driver, Abel was pretty awesome at body surfing, unfortunately Chelsey and I were not so great....still a few more months to practice!
That night we spent the night at Claire and Steve's with Matti and Zoe which was so lovely! Unfortunately I was not well during that night and the following 24 hours so everything was a much slower pace! But we did get out and go for a walk from Flynns beach, along to the port, passing a walkway which is lined with rocks which people have painted (really pretty awesome to we, especially as some people have been so creative!) (mum I think it's something that Caroline Mannings would enjoy!)
And so that brings us to today...back on the road again, en route to a campsite nr byron bay! Both of us are drugged up after a trip to the chemist...no more illnesses please!
