Hey Guys,
Firstly let me say çome on England..Please dont screw this lifeline up!!!
Secondly everyone pray for me as i am doing my bungee jump on Tuesday of the first ever bridge used for bungee jumping!!!!! (Kawaru Bridge) See mum anyting u can do i can also do :)
Okie Dokie...in Queenstown at present and as Kurshid so kindly mentioned (and i miss u 2) New Zealand is AWESOME!!!!!! Why Rosie and Cherie came to London?? GOD KNOWS!!!! This country is the best, even on par with Starbucks Coffee.
We left Christchurch on Wednesday 15th, had to be up and at the cathedral to meet our Stray Coach Reps to begin our tour of the south island. (i should also stress at this point i was on the verge of suicide, my camera has Forked up!!! :(, but i plan on buying a new one in Bangkok and we have settled on using a disposable camera for now, and its not funny i'm still upset when people pull out there digi cameras. lol)
So we beagn weds morning driving from East Coast to West Coast and saw some of the most amazing mountains ever!! its crazy as its sunny and you suddenly look to your right and you are surrounded by Mah-Essive mountains covered in snow. Stopped off en route at this little town called arthurs pass where again we were amazed by the scenery (only to later discover the whole country looks like this). Arthurs pass like many small towns we stopped at during the week are so small with populations of not more than 75/100 people. Had my morning coffee and sipped it looking at the amazing mountains with waterfalls falling of them all and them made our way to Greymouth (West Coast). Met our Stray Reps here who put us on another coach to get to Franz Joseph Glaciers where we arrived at about 5pm but would have gladly arrived earlier as we spent the journey listening to our driver who looked like Lieutenant Harris in Police Academy telling some off jokes and laughing to them all by himself on the radio.
Finally at Franz Jospeh Glaciers where we spent the night which was supposed to be a quiet one in the blue ice bar drinking and playing pool (which i am leading Chods in the series 3-1). The following morning we went on a full day excursion 700 or 800 metres up in to the fox glacier. (picture above). It was so cold upthere and the rubbish gloves they provided only made my hands colder so some kind woman form canada gave me her extra pair...God Bless the Canadians. We had lunch up in the glacier and with the help of our guide made our own trek and spent lots of time watching the guide hacking paths through glaciers for us. This really was cool and would recommend anyone and everyone to do this full day trek. that night we went to the pub with our Alky mate from Minnesota Katie and some of her randoms Paul, Francis and God knows.
Friday 17th and we are on our way to Makora (dont bother look this place up it has a population of 30 people) and has one gas station which triples up as cafe and bar too and some budget accomodation. Spent this night listening to my ipod and reading my book about the gurkhas (tough dudes these guys) and thought i would get an early night and catch up with some sleep but this was not to be the case as the bleeding sand flies kept biting me (luckily not as bad as Hims, he is having some fun at the pharmacys, lol).
Saturday 18th November and we begin our journey to Queenstown, again the most amazing scenery down as there has been throughout the journey (dont laugh but i will put up the polaroid pics when they are done) and stopped off at this town called WANAKA!!! OMG!! i cant stress enough how gorgeous it is so i will just leave it for you to look up as im sure you are all bored of me and my amazing views talk. But this place also has some joint called puzzle world where they have a man made maze and big giant puzzles. also at Wanaka some girls of the bus did Sky Dives and we watched the DVD's on the final leg to Queenstown, looks so cool and the funniest thing is Rachel screaming F@#* YOU to the camera man as they are free falling.
Finally got to Queenstown where we stopped off at the AJ Hackett Bungee jumping centre and i booked my jump for Tuesday (WTF have i done)...
Queenstown is cool, pretty much not l;ike the other towns as it seems so far to be the main stop for backpackers and adrenaline junkies so had a few beers last night with random friends made along the way and this morning we were joined by two new roomies from brazil and spent 30 mins talking about footy (still disagree that they thing Ronaldhino is better than Kaka!! NO WAY)
Oh we also did some Jet Boating in Mokara which was pretty cool, dont think chods was that impressed but my soaked clothes and cold face made me feel like they have done something right.
Anyway guys, i think i have write loads and dont wanna bore you so will probably write again on Thursday when we are back in Christchurch and getting ready for our next stop (Bangkok, Thailand)
Until then, Bu Bye!! (",)
P.S. Mum, Dad, Nick, Sej n my angels..love u all n miss u all!!
