Hey All,
Hope everyone is well back home. We landed in Sydney ont he 11th @ 1pm roughly, at present its the 12th and 4pm. spent most of yesterday chilling, getting drunk and catching up with sleep...about 15 hours in total (feel ready to continue the madness again now)
Last two nights in Sydney were fun, as mentioned in previous blog we stayed on bondi beach, weather weren't the greatest our first night but our final full day which was saturday was hot!! we spent the whole day lounging on the beach and listening to our ipods!! we both managed to fall asleep on the beach which led to slight burning..lol
Let it be known my shins were killing yday, Hims however is a funny story which im sure he will tell all about..lol (his probably in the room now applying some lotion or another) he has even refused to let me put any mor epix up of him until he has fully recovered..lol (keep posted, i will manage to upload one two or a few) haha.
We also managed to find some tme before checking into Maze Backpackers in Sydney central for our final night to see the Kings Cross District which is notoriously known for its backpackers...Oh my God this place is a dive!!!! it is the only place in Oz i saw with a police station and im sure they are needed there.
That night though we met Hims cousins and their mates for our final meal and drinks in sydney, ate out by the harbour with the bridge directly in front of us and opera house to our right (felt quite important, especially as we are backpacking) lol. went for some drinks after the meal to the minus 5 bar which is similar to the ice bar in london. I dont cvare what anyone says, it is freezing and after 20 minutes we were waiting for the final 10 minutes to pass so we could get out of there..lol Also listened to some stories from a friend of Sats who is hillarious (this guy sucked upa a bat with his vacuum) hahahahahahahahaha
So that brings us to here and know, in NZ whixch is so chille dout..i can understand why so many people come and work here it is a mini not so busy city which haves all the necessary things and shops but is so relaxed!! we actually saw people walking to work this morning at normal pace whcih is something i definately ahven't seen in Beijing and Sydney (or any other major city i have been to).
We leave on Weds to go check out Mount Cook and the Fox Glaciers which should be cool and then on to some other place where they have extreme jet boating then on to Queenstown for a while..woohoo!!!!!
I've probably waffled on enough now so will leave it here and write again in a few days...when i upload some more pictures from Sydney and hopefully NZ too
