hello, bit of back dating to do, but we found ourselves in Prague on the 25th i think it was after a rather bumpy overnight train. we spent the day walking around the city and it soon began apprent just how mant english tourists there were; this see,s to have created a huge void between the sububs and the old town square which is full of expensive restuarantes and shops. with only really a day and a half to explore prague we decided to take a tour by bus as not only was time short but so too were our energy levels.

the bus tour took around 2 hours and gave us a good understnanding of the lay out of the city, which is truely beautiful. the guide also gave completely useless infor,ation which i dont thin would even appeqar on trival pursuit questions, but ,ade us laugh all the same. the tour took us right up to the castle zhich i dont think we would have seen otherwise, there were great views from the top and the gothic castle was spectacular.

However all my mickey taking of lisa and her mishaps over the trip smacked me right in the face when we got off the bus to look around the castle as i went to adjust my sunglasses and forgot the lid was off my water so i accidently poured the contents all over myself!!! lisa found this hysterical as she hasnt actually publicly humiliated herself... yet!!!hehe

Anyway after the tour we went back to the square to watch the astronomical clock chime which was very interesting as it attracted such a huge crowd every single hour of its chiming. After refreshments we went back to the hostel with the intentions of coming back out later in the evening, however we had forgotten it was a sunday and that the area between us and the old town was not too pleasant so we sneaked a pizza into the hostel. very naughty!!!

the following morning, lisa was keen to see a bodies exhibition, where ,any people have been cut up in increase our understandning of the hu,an body, however i felt cake and coffee in the jewish quarter was much more up my street.

On route back to the clock i found this gorgeous litle jewllery shop where i bought myself a ring and after meeting back up with lisa and showing her my purchqse she was eager to visit the shop too. this then turned into a ,onster jewllery buying session, but at least we have pretty sparkly things now - an essential for the traveller!!!
