Hey guys,
Hope everyone is well, my birthday was awesome, thank you very much for all my birthday messages!!! I had cookie dough ice cream for a cake, and punch, and lots of music and the truck was decorated so I had a really good day. We were on the truck for most of it and we all thought our driver was gonna get arrested, (for saying something to a police officer…that he hadn't actually said!!! TIA!!!!) but it was all good in the end!!! Oh and i had an Impala burger for lunch the other day...i wouldnt recommend it to be honest!!!
I am in Zambia at the moment in a place called Livingstone. Since arriving here I have had the chance to do many things, I signed up for the bungy jump, and the gorge swing, white water rafting and an adrenaline day, of course I also signed up for the lion walk and booze cruise!!! White water rafting was interesting, I fell under the raft when it flipped…there is a DVD of it and all the guys in my raft went flying and went about 2/3 km down the rapids without the raft, I managed to get hit on the head about 3 times by the raft which kept pushing me under, I was petrified…mainly coz im a big wimp!!! And nearly kissed Mika (that's James for all non trip guys!!!) when he pulled me into the raft I was so happy to be out of the water. The rest of the day involved me hanging onto the raft for dear life even over the grade 2 rapids for fear of dieing a slow death under the water!!! After that we headed to the much needed booze cruise and in our lovely fancy dress costumes from a flea market (I was dressed as a guy and had stubble and everything!!!) that was a brilliant end to the day except I managed to hurt my foot, which was extremely swollen and painful. So mum will be pleased to hear that I had to opt out of the other activities!!! I did however walk with the lions and took about 200 photos of me doing it so I'm sure I can bore you all when I get back!!! I am having a fab time, bit upset that I didn't get to do the gorge swing or bungy jump but I plan to do a sky dive in Namibia instead so not to worry!!!
Oh and I nearly forgot, I held a one hundred billion dollar Zimbabwe note…which could have bought me a loaf of bread and a bag of sugar…if I was lucky!!! How weird is that!!!
Tomorrow we are crossing the border into Botswana. If I can I will keep you all updated of my activities there.
Missing you all loads.
