We kind of left it a bit late to book any accommodation so ended up staying in Mission Beach which was pretty awesome. We opted for a few quid extra a night for a motel with two big size beds, a TV and kitchen (the kitchen was added in as they lost our booking).
The 1st day, well afternoon, we headed to the beach but it was a bit windy; actually very windy so didn´t end up staying long. We instead headed to the Fro Yo place (frozen yogurt for those not up with the lingo. Whatever.)
Day two. Again opted for the beach which was so much better this time. Little wind, crashing waves, you name it. However this weird fog thing came over for about 30mins so you couldn´t even see that far into the distance. After the morning lazy in the sun we headed to the Fro Yo place again. It´s sooo good. There are about 10 types of yogurt and loads of toppings and you pay by weight - totally yummy and not that bad for you either. I mean, it´s yogurt, how bad can that be? Then wandered into town which was only about 25mins away. Walked around a bit, then got some take-out pizza, again it was organic so again not too bad for us (justification is a fine thing). That night we proceeded to finish off the remaining alcohol we had left ahead of our impending flight to Mexico. So after rum, red wine, bubbly we were more than happy to crash for the night. Unfortunately as I am on antibiotics I let Katie do most of the drinking which is maybe why she asked me three times where "Speed" was filmed (as it was on TV that evening). Oops.
Day three. Checked out. Laid by pool. Drove to Airport. Thankfully they didn´t charge me for my minor scrape. Got on earlier flight to LA. Flew to Mexico at mignight.
So the real Central America adventure begins. Wooooo!
