So i got to krabi - it seems so long ago now but only last week! I had the worst boat trip of my life - it was so bloody bumpy that i thought it was gonna tip - it was a nite boat so others were happy dreaming away of pink bunnies then there was me holding onto anything i could find and checking out the nearest window incase i was gonna throw up which i nearly did but i didnt want the wind to have a reversed effect and blow my entire stomach contects back at me so luckily i kept it in! So i got to krabi and headed for Ao Nang which was a lovely beach spot outside the main city of krabi. My hotel was pretty good and cheap and there i spent my time lying on the beach. I met a couple of brit girls there and we checked out the irish bar (Em - there is another place i can tick off for visiting an irish pub!) and some other bars around town but alot of them were full of the old western men searching for their dream thai bride!! I only spent a couple of days there then i got the boat to Phi Phi. On the boat i met another couple of brit girls (man we are everywhere!!) and checked into a bloody expensive hotel for one nite as everyting else booked out but i managed to move the next day into a cheapy one more fitting for my budget! It was q eerie seeing phi phi after watching the news so much afetr xmas and the tsunami and they seem to be up and running really well but there is still a helluva lot of building work to be done and still areas of land that have nothing no them. You can volunteer to do clear up work but i only had 2/3 days there so ran out of time which is a shame. I did the island boat trip and found nemo while snorkling. I saw the beach where they filmed "the beach" which was shown every night in one bar or another. I also did some fantastic leaps from the boat only to discover that i had exposed my boob to the rest of the boat watching from above - well i always did know how to make a good first impression!The next day i went diving which wqas awesome. I saw a leopard shark which was sleepin on the bottom of the sand so we knelt on the sand behind it and just watched it - so cool and then we saw a black tip shark which also was a lil too close for comfort but again pretty amazing. I still havent seen my turtle yet so a lil disappointed - i didnt manage either to do my advanced course as my ear only really cleared up in the 2nd day so again not enough time - dammit!! But there was q a fit norweigan on my boat so that was good eye candy for the afternoon. In the evenings i headed out with the other two and had some drinks - we sat in one bar along the beach front where this guy was playing the guitar and singing - he was really talented and had only been playin for 2 years! One night it absoultely poured down and ive never seen rain like it - i was in a bar so decided to make a run for it to my hostel so with my shoes in my hand i jumped my way thru the shin high water to my hostel but i got a lil carried away thinking i was doing some sort of briget jones style crazy run that i went straight past my hotel and got a lil confused at the end of the street so as u can imagine i was rather wet when i got back!! Oh and one night i was in the apache bar and i requested Good Luck Basement Jaxx and they actually played it and i think that my cardiff lot will realize the impact this had on me andf danced my arse off to it! Oh and ali i had to text you when i heard faithless i was like "oh where are u and ur crazy moves??!!!!" That was pretty much my time in phi phi, i really wanna go back as loved it there. But now im in - s*** where am I?? Oh yeah im phuket! got here yesterday - im stayin with 2 canadian girls i met on my boat which makes the room out to be about 150bt a nite - que ganga!! (bargain for u non spanish speakers out there) We went out last nite for some dinner then we ended up in an irish bar (again - i love these places) and had about 3 pints each of tiger and chang beer for 100bt a pint which is kinda expensive but they were big pints. So after i was feelin a lil tipsy so had my photo taken with the human sized ronald mcdonald outside maccy d's to go along with my photo of me and colonel sanders from saigon!! And now today my last full day in thailand im about to head to the beach with the girls and enjoy the sun before flying off to kuala lumpur tomo - wow im q excited about going to a new country!! Ok well ill add on a lil extra here as this part doesnt fit in with the malaysia bits so heres the rest of the Thailand stuff. Ok, well we headed to the beach where this bloody dog kept following us then a boy dog came along and kept on sitting on my sarong while gettin himself happy then tried to hump the other dog all on my sarong - bloody thing so the more i tried to grab my sarong back the more he growled at me as if i was embarking on his territory - but anyway all was great when the b**** did a typical female thing and pushed him away (i bet ur wondering why im tellin u all this but it was a very funny moment - i guess u had to be there but amusing all the same)! That evenin we headed out for dinner and went down this one strip where i got hassled by a lady boy who kept tellin me to sm-i-i-i-l-l-e-e! Idiot soignored him/her. Then as it was my last nite i really wanted a banana pancake my last one in thailand so we wondered back along the same strip and alas couldnt find a stall - so annoyed anyway audrey and hayley could see my saddened face so they suggested that we walk back and find one (really they secretly wanted one too after me tellin them how good they were) so we walked back for about 20mins and actually saw a thai woman with one in her hand and audrey practically pounced on her askin her where the hell she got it!! So after bout a good 25min wlak we found our banana pancake stall and i made it last until we got back to the hostel - yum yum yum so good!!! So anyway got the plane the next day to KL and thats where im gonna move to another postcard page! anyways love to all of you nikki xxx
