Last stop in argentina - sob!!
So got here bright and early on friday after the night bus and after some much needed sleep I headed into town then in the afternoon I did a wine tour of 2 wineries and 1 live oil factory. In every place we learnt about the making of their products and got a sample of some of it. In the first winery the wine they gave us, 1 sample of red and one of white were disgusting! In the olive oil factory we got to try some olives and some oil dipped in bread which was really nice and some raisins too. The 2nd winery, owned by a french company, was so much better , the wine was really good. In the evening I joined practically everyone in the hostel for the hostels asado (bbq) which was really nice everyone being together and meeting new people. The hostel I'm stayin in "hostel alamo" is the nicest hostel ever, the staff are fantastic, the breakfast is excellent, they give you towels and the lounge area is really comfy and best of all they have a cat called momo!! Anyway, after the asado which finished about 12.30am (well this is argentina!) and after some drinks at the hostel I headed out to some bars with some people from the hostel. The 1st one we hit about 2am - was called zinc and I ordered a vodka and diet coke and the vodka came in a glass and was about 6 shots worth - considering that it only cost me 10pesos (nearly 2 pounds) it was q a bargain!! Next bar I had a cocktail and that about finsihed me off - it was too late to go clubbing as was about 5ish so stayed in the bar til 5.30 and got home about 6am I think or it could've been 7am - can't really remember!! But had a good night out.
Well next day I woke about 3o'clock so didn't really do much apart from go to supermercado and watch tv with the others!
Next day, sunday, I did a days horse riding up in the mountians - it was beautiful and so relaxing. My horse was called resbloza but I wanted to rename her "how much food can i fit in my chops at one time" as she wouldn't stop eating the whole time - especially the thistles!! But it was a great day - we were out on the horses about 4hr30 so today my arse kills!! After the ride we had some food next to the log burning fire before returning to mendoza then watched some dvds with the others - watched "lost in translation" (better this time than when I watched it in french in france!) and "princess bride" which everyone else hated apart from me!!
Today I've been walking around the city and now gonna head back for lunch and chill before my two flights this evening - one to santiago and then one to lima!!!
