Got up at 8:00 and annoyingly i have developed a bit of a cold, pretty sure its from the night bus :-( left the room (checked out), then enjoyed the free breakfast again. Went and rented a bike, asked for a manual and got a semi automatic, very interesting to ride, no clutch and 4 gears, just throttle off and click through. Rode to da nang for the beach (40mins ride). Woke up at 9ish and had the hotels fantastic free breakfast, then headed out to the beach with will and Beth (sophie was doing Internet stuff). Had a great morning swimming and chilling on the beach. Almost saw a windsurf, it turned out not to be one, but just a fat person in a bright orange buoyancy aid (thought it was a sail - I was far away ok...) but still the closest I've got to windsurfing so far, so pretty pleased about that!! Cool bus ride, very comfy seats, good ac, even good wifi. But very Vietnamese... Constant unexplained stops, random travellers getting on then being put off 10 mins later, internal bus lights turned on for no understandable reason, constant honking by the driver (thank god for noise cancelling headphones), and of course on some of the stops the engine was turned off, shutting off the ac and turning the bus into a sweaty tin can!!
