Next day we got a Bus to Ha Long City and a boat around Halong bay which was amazing. This is the picure above! there are thousands of little mountain islands in this bay and we just sailed around them all day. We had a half decent seafood lunch and swam in the water and did kayaking around a local fishing village which is in the water. We stayed on the boat over night with dinner and beers - oh yer - there were women rowing boats around the bay seeling stuff to tourists like beer and orios (the only things you need) and it was cheeper than on our boat so stu started haggling with the lady and she gave him 4 beers, he was arguing over 3pound and she wanted an extra 20p well all of a sudden our boat started to speed up and she was trying to hold on stu was pissing himself laughing as she was making funny faces and shouting beer beer then we were off without paying! As we docked about 10 minutes later this little boat pulled up beside us and she was shouting for stu we were all wetting ourself but felt bad for her as she needed the money - im sure you had to be there and stu tells the story better but it was funny! We were chilling and it was lovely looking up at the sky and listening to oasis on the top deck with a cold beer me and stu were so happy and had realised what an amazing thing we were doing!

We got back to the port today(sunday) and got these local mopeds on the side of the road to take us to the bus staion??? yes we had our bags on our backs and didnt have a clue where we were? was quite exciting!

We got on the most random bus to a small town called Ninh Binh which is small, the bus was packed with parcels and then along the way we got a puncture! We stopped to fixed it then carried on picking up more locals than the bus could actually hold it was hilarious. Some really nice man chatted to me and was asking about our trip i couldnt really understand him but nodded at the right times and tried to listen! bless him.

We then arrived and got to a good guesthouse after being dropped on some random street but the locals showed us the way the people are lovely here. We called home too and it was so nice to talk to our mummies and stus daddy but forgot to take your number out daddy so will call tomorrow. It was a mission trying to find the post office itself let alone calling!

well very happy travelling along Vietnam and will email soon staying here a day and then off to a place called Dong Hoi.
