Hello cold British people!
Finally got over our theft and am able to write again although minus the pics. I hope all is well at home sad to hear it is still freezing but im sure your glad to know it rains some days here too!
We had a lovely time in Nha Trang on the beach and had a great tour of 4 islands the day before we left. We had to get up at 7am which is really killing me doing all these tours but its worth it around 11am hehe. We chilled out on the old boat for a couple of hours, went snorkling at this beautiful coral with clear clue seas, had a lovely seafood lunch, did my specialty backflps for the boat and swam again with this hilarious floating bar - a rubber ring with a box of wine and one of the vitnemese dudes surving us in the waves it was quality. Got really sun burnt and met some real nice people from Oz, Barcelona and Bonny Scottland. Had dinner with them that nite and it was a real nice day!
Arrived in Ho Chi Minh City also called Saigon and the beach seemedmiles away its a real bustling city with 2 main districts the back packer haven and the chelsea of Saigon so many gorgous hotels and not to mention LV and GUCCI stores - I felt very poor and sad we were backpackers and not wealthy teachers or police man!
We have been very cultural the lsat two days visiting the museums and historical places concerning the war! The Independance palace and war reninates museum I absolutly love it i know i know i sound sooooooooooooo sad but its so interesting and its all so recent. I cant believe some of the stuff that happened and especially the part where the americans dropped all chemicals onto the villages and it wsa called Agent Orange and loads of people are now disabled or have cancer from it! I cut my big toe on the pissing roads as they are just rubble and i told stu i was scared incase i got Agent Orange and he just took the piss for ages! We also feel bad cos we get angry for the men on wheely trays with no legs or bendy legs, begging at us 24/7 and they went through all this but im sure they could still be the one who stole my camera???? i have no trust! but feel for them too!
We visited the Cu Chi Tunnels today which were used by the Viet Con to hide from the Americans and fight against them. I went down one of them and almost pooped myself! bless stu he was too scared! tart!!!! it was totally black, only big enough for me to crawl on my knees, only wide enough for my shoulders to rub against the sides and was about 3meters under ground! Stu settled for getting into an old war tank and im sre he felt manly again hehe. Was such a good trip but sorry if im boring some of you already this is def one of those times you have to be here! Oh Bless Bec did you even know that Vietnam had a war with America ill teach you about it when i get home x
We watched the footy last nite too whic is cool catching up on our boys but im so gutted for charlton i think im gonna follow united for a while, they play every game of theres over here and they are just awesome to watch - not really pops ill never desert you and the real london reds
