SABADII(HELLO)
We arrived safely and did not sink although i think that we have bum sores as the boat was soooooooooooo uncomfortable na it wasnt that bad. Pak Beng was an interesting experience which i will list:
1. we get off the boat everyone is trying to run off to get a decent guesthouse as there again is only 1street
2. I leave poor stu with the bags and leg it up to the top of the peir to the guesthouse we think we are staying which turns out to be $84 no chance as lush as it looked!
3. we found a lovely place again for 4.50 and had a cold shower yes cold but we are quite good at sluming it now although stu gets me to check him half way through in case his heart stops hehehe bless! we also discover there is only electric from 6pm - 10pm!
4. we walk to the resturants and find a nice curry place which stu ends up finding a staple in his mouth and then he points not to be worried bout the staple but the food and how can it be stored if there are no freezers - i thought i would instantly have food poising and the boat trip nxt day would be adventourous.
5. We head back to our room after some beer lao which is actually sooooooooo nice, after buying a torch and some cards.
6. stu fell straight to sleep and i was reading - after falling asleep for about 30mins the electric goes off and i then wake stu and myself up almost screaming from a dream that the ceiling had fallen in and trying to hold it back up yes i was sitting up holding thin air! - we think its the malaria tablets as you dont want to know the dodgy dreams we have had!
7. we wake up to bloody cockrels and chickens next to window - we love nature now hehe.
Once we arrived in Luang prabang the next day we went to a nice hotel and chilled for the day visiting caves and drinking fruit shakes from the market. It is so laid back in Laos its funny.
We also went to the top of this temple - well half way we are getting so fat and lazy we just stopped to see the sunset it was lovely.
We now on another journey to the Capital - Vientiane which takes about 12-15 hrs they never seem to know hehe
