Hello from the capital of Laos - Vientiane - Me and stu both call it V cos we keep saying it wrong!

We arrived on another long bus yes 13hours and when we got there there was a festival going on so it was crazy! We found a decent guesthouse and walked around to more very laid back people.

We visited a local swimming pool which all the local swim teams use and tibbi you should have seen me and my big biceps working out with the swimmers hehe - no chance me and stu just messed around and did a maximum of 6 lengths and we were shattered so sat in the sun for the other few hours watching the pros!

We also went to a concert which was free - lisa, i missed you loads there, well i was slighty gutted cos thought you are about to watch our fav band of all time Oasis and i was watching 3 laos bands and 2 from Australia. The worrying part was i preffered the Laos bands even though i couldnt understand them hehe. It was cool though beer and bands!

The last day we saw a boat race along the river to celebrate the end of the Buddist Lent. The boat was full of about 30 people and they raced alng the river and other people were putting candles and flowers in the water it was cool.

Flying to Hanoi-Vietnam next - paid more than the bus but thought we so cant deal with a long bus jounrey again just yet - it was heaven arrived in 1 hour!
