Hi Guys, it is great to catch up with your adventures. Your photos are magnificent and your blog paints a wonderful picture....you should be a writer. Hope you are both enjoying the beautiful european summer, while we chill out, literally here in sydney (it actually snowed at belrose a week or so ago).. It is a seriously cold winter, we are getting great snow at the snowy montains, but we are bummed we can't go. We are enjoying jeremy more and more. Though this is putting Jonathan out, he is often very cranky, and does strange things. The other day he began resorting to baby sign language rather than talking, it took me a while to even remember what the sign meant, he wouldn't of used it for over a year, i am assuming he is using them sub-concously. We haven't been doing much. At the moment it is exciting if i can manage to get out of the house, that shows how exciting our lives are right now.
I'll write again, when i have more exciting news, Oh i do have some news.... Leah (and Shane) is pregnant, she is 20 weeks.
See ya Simone

... and so the adventures continue!!
So glad that you have so many fine people around who love and support you - both family and friends.
Pickles, sounds like you must be trying to cultivate that assertive manner that you were working on in India, to try to tame the Vic kids! I suppose you have to grit your teeth and try to find the right Catalan words to spit at them! (Not the swear words that might come to mind!)
Wish I could send little Eva and Jeremy over for a cuddle! They are soooo adorable, you would melt!
Oodles of cuddles, Mum & Dad xxx
Mike

Wow, Nic your blogs are getting better. Or is it just your adventures are so amazing. Probably a bit of both hey!
Seriously I really loved hearing about your good work helping out in Nepal. And I'm equally envious of your experience their too.
Mendo, don't worry about me drowning in work will you ;)

Love the pics. Really a bit odd, but my favourite is the toilet instructions.
Nic, Great to see Mendos having such a romantic time (with his boyfriend).
Great to see you guys are having such an experience.
All is well here. Thinking of you both.

Hi Guys, it has been very hectic and I've actually just had a chance to catch up on your journey. Firstly, I nearly freaked when I read the video heading "Mendo's 60c shave". I thought you meant his beautiful locks!! I was very glad to see he just got a good slapping around the face! We are all good here and we had a great holiday down south earlier in the month. Disappointed that we missed the arrival of Jeremy though! Love to you both and stay safe.

My head is swirling trying to take in your amazing adventures! The part that stands out is your encounter with the men on the road amongst the fields when you were lost!
Pickles! I am shocked at your bravery and defiance in such a potentially dangerous situation! I feel as though your roles have reversed ... Mendo, whom I might have expected to show his anger, remained calm and acted rationally, obviously deciding that a small payment was worth your safe passage and the return of your camera. You were the explosive one who stunned them into inaction, giving them you the chance to escape!
Good on you Mendo ... thank you for taking good care of our daughter! It is a relief that you both seem to sort out any difficulties that come your way, so successfully.
Pickles, maybe I will hardly know you with your new found volatile personality! I have to admit I pay you respect for being so brave and defiant, but you make me worry about you safety! It seems that you make a good team ... like in one of those movies, where two side-kicks act together to confuse and outwit the enemy!
Your descriptive language once again transports us to wonderful imaginings of your adventures! THERE IS NO DOUBT THAT TRAVELLING ON YOUR BIKE HAS ALLOWED YOU TO HAVE A MUCH MORE INTIMATE EXPERIENCE WITH INDIA. It seems that you absorb the passing scene so much more deeply than a person in a car or bus with a window barrier defining them as mere onlookers. Your many encounters with the people will be long remembered and felt; eating amongst the locals makes your culinary experiences authentic - the tastes and spicy smells will linger in your minds. On the other side of the coin, the squalor with its vile stenches and the extreme poverty at such close range will make an unforgettable impact on you both.
I so look forward to being with you soon! My experience will be in the cocoon of the tour company "On the Go" but at least I will be able to feast my eyes on some of the same sights. I am practising walking in my boots so that I can trek a little with you in Nepal, but I suspect that you'll have to find me a comfy spot with a good outlook while you both hike up to the top!
Love in elephant size loads!

Hi guys, We love looking at your photos, and especially enjoyed watching mendo getting slapped around in the face, we just keep wondering if it actually hurt, as daniel tried it on our guinea pig (jonathan) and for some reason he didn't seem to like it. We have about 6 weeks to go until baby is due to arrive, I am starting to feel progressively uncomfortable, but that is good as it will encourage me to welcome the labour.
Mike & Lotta
Hey guys!!!! Freaky shave!!!! You certainly have more guts than I do!!!! I think I heard you giggling Nic, and I am sure Mendo man, you were trying your damned hardest not to break a grin!!!!
We head to Barcelona on the 11th of Feb and will scope out the area, in terms of accommodation, work.....national health system!!!!! now that we have a baby on the way!!!! woohoo!!!! We will contact your friends, thanks so much for that.
You still enjoying the travels? We love your writing and photographs. How is the trusty steed? Ours are sheltered away from the snow. Lotta's motorcycling days are numbered for a fair while. We're now looking into a car.....cheap and reliable!!!!
alright, take care on those mad roads....don't call anyone an a******....as I did and almost got myself involved in a brawl!
