So much has been happening, i really have no clue where to start!!! Ok so last time i touched base we had arrived in San francisco, that is one beautiful city, we did all the touristy things we visited alcatraz which was incredible, we caught the old cable trams around the city, went on a cruise under the golden gate bridge and visited the san francisco zoo etc... unfortunately we only had one sunny day while we were there the other days were cold and miserable but still it was a great experience...
From there we caught the amtrak train (like a v/line) to San Diego, again a beautiful city, probrably my favourite so far. A lot of California was on fire the time we were in San Diego so there was this haze and you could actually smell smoke in the air. the fires however did not affect us until we went to sea world and a lot of the attractions were cancelled and some of the rides were not operating due to the ash in the air??? what we did see though was awesome, the killer whales and dolphin shows were definately my favourite, we got to touch sting rays and see polar bears, pink flamingos, seals and just about anything else you can think of..
Unfortunately being michaels luck, he caught gastroenteritis and i mean bad, it was so bad we had to go to urgent care so he could see a dr, that put him out for 3 whole days he was literally confined to his bed and the bathroom:)
From San Diego we had planned to go to Texas but being indecisive as we are we changed our plans yet again, deciding to fly straight to Boston to visit Michaels cousin and get that area out of the way as everyone kept telling us how cold it would be in November. So thats what happened!
We caught a plain to Boston i spent 4 days at the cousins place, i stayed at a hostel for 1 night by myself and it happened to be the night Boston redsox won the world final in Baseball, it would have to be one of the best nights ive had since being here, i was at an irish pub with some fellow backpackers watching the game and when they won the whole city was celebrating it was one big party ive never experienced anything quite like it! anyway i decided that was enough time for me in boston and was ready to move on, michael wanted to spend more time with his cousin and so we had a spat as we always do and i flew to texas and visit Tatia and her family (i used to babysit for them in Australia) so here i am in Dallas Texas ive been here for6 days and its been great, we went to an all you can eat texas buffet, THAT was truly an experience ive never seen so much food or so many overweight people!!! We visited a little town called castle hill where all the houses look like castles and all the street names are names after kings and queens its crazy. Last night Tatia and i went to a sports bar to watch the football, americans love there sport and football is no exception i spent the whole time trying to figure out what the hell was happening i just cant get it.. aussie rules anyday. the other night i went over to a friend of tatias house these ladies all play tennis together and they were seriously like desperate housewives, they were rich, beautiful super super nice(a little too nice if you ask me it was kinda strange how polite they are to each other) so we just had a girls night champaigne, dips and a spa oh and the spa well that was incredible, it fit 10 people and was in its own wooden building it was crazy but amazing...
I am just about to catch the greyhound bus to Austin where i will spend 2 nights before returning to Tatias for maybe 3 more nights, this friday we are going to Billy Bobs a boot scootin country and western club, its meant to be HUGE with like 6 dance floors, stages, a mechanical bull and get this an indoor rodeo you know the bull/ cowboys and all! im excited rodeos is what texas is about in my eyes but honestly texas is much different to what i expected its a really beautiful place i could seriously live here i think.
My future plans whether they work out this way we'll have to see but on sunday im flying to Miami spending one night there and then going on a 4night cruise to the carribean its on a huge cruisliner called the carnival and it carries something like 3000 people i cant wait, it'll be a lot of fun will let you know all about it. Then after the cruise ill spend 3 or 4 more days at miami beach before seeing ft lauderdale, orlando and daytona beach which are all in florida. from there ill fly to new york for 2 or 3 days and then fly back to LA for 3 days before flying to new zealand oh and meeting up with michael somewhere along the way, well maybe : ) we;ll see!!! aaaah im tired just thinking about it all
Hope you all well, missing you all and cant wait to catch up with you when i get home, only 1 more month!
