Having arrived in Byron i had heard from many people that the Nimbin Tours are really good and that i should go on one for definate, so the first thing i booked, a Nimbin Tour. I think possibly i was slightly nieve and dissilusional about the trip what with Nimbin being the drug capital of Australia. Just before we entered the village the driver was giving pointers about being careful and about how much is acceptable to buy incase being caught by the police and so on. I was kind of filled with nerves as drugs hadnt been the reason for going, but the fact there would be waterfalls and stuff to jump in.

However we knew we were close as the air changed. It suddenly smelt very fresh and fruity... and no there arent any fruit picking farms near by. The whole place had a lingering smell of weed. It was so surreal and kind of wierd to start with that almost every few meters someone would sort of mutter under their breath are you looking for weed/ cookies/ cakes. Fortunately though noone was really pushy i gues they get enough custome without having to push. But a simple no and they would move on for someone else.
However from there we went to a very ncie pub where we had a very nice BBQ. Having offered to help i found myself cooking everything on the BBQ which was actually pretty cool, yet more practice of cooking more than one thing at a time with around 100 sausages on the go before replacing by about 50 burgers! Great fun although got oil spitting at me so much! We then moved on from here to the main part of the trip for me, the waterfal! Not quite as impressive as it had sounded and not quite as big. Although cant really complain with being in australia and jumping down a 4meter high waterfall!
Although the water was definately brasing and thats being generous!
Very fun and interesting day though!
