After a wet and windy ferry crossing from Dover we arrive on the shores of France. For both of us it was our first time in a non speaking english country, how were we going to handle it?
We were fine and off to paris we went. With a clever tour guide deliberately keeping our attention on some story about a teddy bear in a window, we were shocked with a amazing view of the Eiffel tower. We both agreed it was stunning and even more so at night.
But thats where our similar opinions ended, one loved Paris and one didnt. Jack seen the wonderful architecture and loved it where Nic was some what uncomfortable due to our accomadation and left with that as a lasting impression. We both know we will go back, we both know Nic will have a better experience next time.
One particular night stands out amongst most, instead of a scheduled Moulin Rouge visit we decided to go accross the road to watch Australia Qualify for the knockout phase of the world cup. Amazing effort by Nic!!! Awesome night, Drunk night and Harry Kewells night. Jack will remeber it for the result of the Socceroos, Nic will remember it for the free shots all night long lying on the bar.
