Day 23
I have real mixed feelings about today.
Tonight, at 2220, we board a flight to Heathrow, via Hong Kong, and after being away for three and a half weeks, it will be nice to get home, but at the same time, theres a feeling of unfinished business in Australia, and the desire to see more.
With most of a day to kill and the bags already packed, we check out of the hotel and take a final walk into the centre of town.
We grab some lunch and walk across to Hyde Park, where we enjoy the Open Air Art Exhibition, ward off an attack by some really strange, large birds, and just sit, listening to the busker on the guitar, and enjoy our final sunny afternoon down under.
Sitting and relaxing for an afternoon seems so out of context with the way the rest of the trip has gone, but somehow seems the perfect way to end it.
We board the monorail, take one trip round the City, through Darling Harbour again and back to the hotel to collect our baggage before boarding a train to the Airport, and then our flight to Hong Kong, where we have a 5 hour lay over before connecting on to London.
