Day 6 Kings Canyon and Alice Springs

Despite our requests for a lie in, Jen made us get up early again for what turned out to be a fantastic walk through Kings Canyon. The terrain was really varied and the walking was excellent. We saw lots more wildlife and walked through the Garden of Eden, an oasis of trees and creeks in the middle of the incredibly rocky canyon. We all decided KC was one of our favourite parts of the whole week.

That brought our 'official' trip to an end, so after a long drive we got to Alice Springs, gave some gifts to our brilliant Guide Jen, and agreed to meet up for one last shindig before we all headed our seperate directions the next morning. Alice Springs seemed a bit of an odd place, just a tourist base really in the middle of the desert. Still, we had a great night, good food, good drink, and good company, but it was sad saying goodbye to all the people that had made the tour so much fun for 6 days.

Next day we left for Melbourne and said goodbye to Danni who was off to Sydney then Asia for the rest of her travels. So, sad seeing her go off and knowing that we won't see her again till March, but we had an amazing 3 weeks together that we'll never forget.
