Well we made it....to LA that is! Our flight from LA was scheduled to be on time so we started boarding around 3:00 pm (Michigan time). With a full plane we were all ready for take off, until we found out there were 15 planes ahead of us! With that wait and the strong winds (not to mention turbulence) we didn't land until 7:00pm (LA time). After waiting for our luggage to come through, Becca and I were in for our first adventure, Finding the Shuttle! We asked a lady for assistance and she instructed us to go stand underneath the big "Red" light. Well little did we know the light was on the other side of 4 lane road filled with crazy Cali taxi drivers! Not to mention there was no lights or crosswalks! So in attempt to be true Cali travelers we just had to step out onto the street in hopes the cars would STOP! Needless to say we made it to the "Red" light (well obviously because Im blogging). After waiting for about 30 minutes the shuttle came and we were off to the hotel (finally). Two hours after landing we were safe and sound in our hotel.

After a long day of traveling we decided to get some dinner, after being seated and opening the menu we were in for a shock when all dinners were $25 - $30 a plate! Now we all know, Nichole does not spend that kind of money...well at least when its her own! haha Anyway I think the waiter sensed so uneasy so he politely asked us if we were looking for a some what "lighter menu"! Naturally we said YES PLEASE!! All in all we had to get up in the middle of the resturant after we were just seated (How embarrassing!) to be taken to a different cafe.

Once our bellies were full we headed straight to bed! Rolled out of bed this morning 11:30 am (LA time) so 2:30 pm (Michigan Time) lucky for me Becca, enjoys her sleep too so we had no problem getting a couple ZZZZs. Once we were up we decided to take a little excursion. We began to walk the streets of LA. It is a little chilly but the sun was out. Found a place to eat called In & Out Burger.... Stephanie from school said if you every travel to Cali you MUST have an In & Out burger, so we did and it was yummy! We continued walking and found a bookstore that was going out of business. Walked through there in attempt to find a good book for our 20 hours flight we will soon be on. Lucky for us we got a steal! $2.50 per book, hardcover and all!

Now we are back to the hotel to relax for a couple more hours. Our flights goes out at 10:30 pm (LA Time)/ 1:30 am (Michigan Time). Hope to update when I get settled into room some time on Monday.
