Right peeps, where to start!! Seems like I have loads to tell you but not much time today.
Last time I wrote I was in Zambia. We went on our booze cruise - oops sorry, sunset cruise!! Was such a funny night and much alcohol was consumed. Nothing quite like a white water refting hangover cure though!! This is easily the best thing I've ever done. And the scenery was just stunning. One minute you're cruising down the Zambizi River with Zambia on your left and Zimbabwai on your right, soaking up the sun and the tranquility. The next your paddling your little arms off facing a ragging rapid of white water!! Hard work, got burned to a crisp but sooooo worth it! We all now have the rafting tan, or rafting peeling as it's now turned to!!
After another soggy return to the Chobe camp site and spider central, we headed to Maun. This was used a base to get to the Okavango Delya where we camped in the bush, no facilities at all. We arrived in canoe type boats called Mokoroes. Was an amazing experience, will get pics on here soon, promise. Back to the site at Maun the following day where I proceeded to take off a chunk of my bug toe nail in apoolside related incident! OUCH!!!! Not good, especially as we were heading to Ghanzi the following day to do another bushman walk. This time with real tribes people. An amazing time, they showed us how they use veggitation and roots etc as medicines and soap!!!
Crossed the boarder today into Namibia and we all feel really excited about being here I think. Having a meal out tonight and a few drinks and we have 5 new memebers joing our group - oooooo! Will be seeing mountains, rock formations, another night under the starts and amazing sand dunes!! Bring it on :-)
Well, I'm sorry it's been really rushed and probably loads of annoying spelling mistakes! Will do better next time. Have to go now before time runs out!!!
Love you all, take care
Nic
