So we've been in the van for about week now (after the diving that is) and decided to (on the advice of rodney fox "shark man", our mate) go through australia towards uluru via the flinders ranges national park. We went through wilpena pound (a natural basin) and dound that after we'd gone 170k north that we had to turn back as our van couldn't go onthe unsealed roads (gutted), so after 4 days we ended up back where we started. Ho hum, we saw lots of emus adn kangas (mainly dead) on our round trip. we're currently in coober pedy, the opal capital of the world no less. Went out sight seening (looks like a scene from mad max, which is unsurprising as it was filmed here) and have been falling asleep to the gentle cry of drunken aboriginies. off to alice springs soon (alice, alice who the fcuk is alice) to book a trip round aires rock (and hopefully get the oil leek sorted, good van hey!!). hope you are all well and look forward to seeing you in about 3 months. adios, nic and matt.
