From Phnom penn went down to the coast, a place called shianouk ville (the spelling is allways different, sorry). It's a pretty nice place actually, it's kind of how i imagined Goa (though Goa was not like i imagined). The beach is nice and long, the good thing is that there are lots of bars all the way down but as the beach is not that wide (ie from the start of the sand to the sea) then each bar only has a few staff, this means that you don;t get hassled constantly as you walk down the beach (unlike goa, if you've not been then this comparison makes little sense, but what the hey, you get my meaning). Spent a few days sitting by the beach, met up with some mates (also met a couple of girls on the bus which was good for nic, i think she was in need of some girl time) and so spent the most of the nights getting tipsy and doing robotics in the sea. We spent a night on a deserted island (Koh ru), the place was idillic (sorry about the spelling again) with lovely warm clear sea, white sand and no one else around, needless to say we were happy to get back the next day to the bars etc, i wish i wasn;t such a philistine. Got back and booked to go to bangkok the next day should be about 12 hours (we'll see).
