Hey guys!
We are coming to the end of our adventure and this will be our last blog!
We left Australia and flew to Christchurch, NZ. It's a really cool city with a very chilled out vibe. We spent a few days chilling out and exploring the city.
We then took a train over the country to Franz Josef, taking in amazing views along the way. It's such an amazing country! We did some glacier walking whilst there, which was an amazing experience! The glacier is on Lord Of The Rings so i pretended I was Aragon! Nic was Gollum!
We then moved on to Queenstown, where we spent 3 days skiing at Coronet Peak. After spending the first day having group lessons, we went off on our own and tackled the big slopes. We got pretty good, except that Nic couldn't get off the ski lift without falling and I couldn't slow down, ending up in a big pile of kids at the bottom! . Queenstown's a really cool place, with amazing scenery everywhere and loads of stuff to do that kept us occupied for a week.
We spent a night at Mt Cook on the way up to the North island, staying in a really cosy hostel in the middle of the mountains. Spent a day walking through the valley to a lovely little lake. I'm gonna miss this s***!
We spent a couple of nights in Wellington, which is ok, but not as pretty as Christchurch. We had an educational day, taking a tour of the government buildings and viewing the debating chamber. Found out that a very important figure in NZ history was from St Helens! Come on the Saints!
We've spent the last few days at Lake Taupo and Rotarua. They're both similar places, with lots of residential areas and a load of shops and bars. It's not as scenic as the South island over here, but it's still very pretty. Anyway, before we sign off, we've got one last thing to say.........WE DID A SKYDIVE! We were crapping ouselves on the way up in the plane, bit we were brave enough to jump out fron 12000ft! A perfect way to end our adventure. Right, that's it from us...........see you all in a few days. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
