Hey Brits,

As we near the end of our Australian adventure...we feel it is only appropriate to write to you all and GLOAT about what we have been doing...

Since we have last spoke we have travelled the WHOLE way down the east coast of Australia (thanks lee...i forgot my drivers license..whups!) Anyway, 5000 KM later here we are!

What can we say...Sydney is amazing! We stayed there for 5 days..wanted so much more! We did all the touristy things including Harbour bridge, trip on the ferry to Manly, Opera House, eating Oysters (eww) eating at Sydneys highest tower (ahh) Bondi beach-checking out the scantily clad bods! Hubba hubba! and of course...drinking!

Oops forgot we went to Byron Bay before Sydney..the hippy centre of New South Wales! Very very chilled out place! Erm thats about it! Ooo went to Nimbin to for those of you who no!!!!!

After Sydney lee had the long drive 1120 km south to Melbourne, not much in the middle just lots and lots and lots of straight roads and dead roos! (nice!). Melbourne is really laid back and pretty cool, so we fitted straight in! Went to a big geeks arcade convention where we played pre-historic games..and to lees delight mario cart on the Super Nes! After Melbourne we enjoyed a highlight for both of us..the Great Ocean Road....bloody fantastic and we splurged a bit (as if we havent enough!) and went in a chopper to see the 12 apostles..fantastic experience. The coastline is just stunning but like all Australia after a while it turns into NOTHINGNESS....so we settled down (well i did, lee drove!) for the next 600 km drive to Adeleide (SA). Got nice hotel with tv and loo right next to us! mad! The city pretty dull were just waiting to go to NZ! Yay! Ps...not coming home soz mums!!!
