We arrived in Phangan yesterday and it is fantastic! As soon as we arrived we preferred it to Samui. We hired a car as the weather got a bit miserable and travelled round the island a few dozen times. Its so small it only takes about an hour and a half to go the whole way round the ring road! We tried to find the internet place which reception had assured us was a ten minute walk away. We walked for two hours in the most intense heat I have ever felt, got completely lost and met a bull. I am never walking anywhere again.

We left Patong for Koh Samui at 7.30 and arrived at Samui at gone 5! In this time we travelled on two minibuses, a tuk tuk, a caoch, a ferry and a taxi.
