While our car was in the garage we decided not to waste a day and we went up to Mt Hutt for a day of skiing. After a few goes on the magic carpet I decided I needed something a bit harder, so Chris came with me up to the next step on the beginners scale, it was a much longer steeper beginners slope. The chair lift was an adventure in itself! Anyway it didn't go too smoothly, I fell over quite a lot, twice I fell over the side of the boundary luckily it was still snowy over there as further down the slope the edge was a rocky slope, and I really didn't fancy skiing off that! I fell over again flat on my face, lost my ski, after trying to use my poles to stop myself going too fast. Oh dear! It took me a long time to get down but I eventually made it, thanks to Chris's patience. The next time I went up, I didn't fall down, it got better and better and by the end I was really enjoying it. It started snowing up there and we got drenched, for some reason I was wearing woollen gloves, not the best for skiing. It was really good fun, I just wish I could ski already, as I saw lots of little kids expertly zooming past me.
