Rotorua stinks!! Literally! It stands upon a bundle of volcanic activity and the earths magma below is boiling, creating bubbling mud pools, and steaming pools in a variety of colours, orange, green and grey on the earths surface. We made a second trip to kaikoura,as we came here at the start of our trip to see the whales but our trip got cancelled. We got lucky this time round. Kaikoura is apparently the only place where you can see the mountains and the sea together and it really is a beautiful site, and this time round we had lots of snow on the mountain tops.
